During a routine vet checkup last spring, it was discovered that Big Gino had stones in one of his kidneys. This was extremely dangerous! It could have caused a life-threatening blockage for him. He needed a surgery, but it was very expensive. Some extra fundraising was needed to make it happen. Many generous donations came through…

…and Big Gino underwent the surgery during the summer! It was a big surgery—one of his kidneys was completely removed. Two months later (in October 2010), he has received a clean bill of health from his veterinarian. Big Gino is such a lucky kitty; he will now get to live a normal life.
