KEITH / MURPHY NEEDS YOUR HELP
TO FIND HIS FOREVER HOME!

We’ll never know what caused this little 10 lb miniature Dachshund/Chihuahua mix to become so fearful of people that his first instinct is to strike out at them. What we do know about Keith/Murphy is that once he gets to know a person -- he is a loving, loyal and affectionate companion to whomever he trusts.
However, unless we can show Keith/Murphy that most people are good and kind and only want to shower him with affection, his prospects of finding a foster or adoptive home seem unreachable as he doesn’t allow anyone other than his handler to get close enough to pet him.
When he first came to us, we arranged for a week of training at our daycamp/boarding facility. However, it took the trainer almost a week to teach Keith/Murphy to trust the staff at the facility and not strike out at them when he was scared or nervous. Because of this, there was very little time left over to work on getting him to interact in a positive way toward strangers he might meet at an adoption show.
What Keith/Murphy acutely needs is several weeks of training by his wonderful trainer and his staff teaching him not to be fearful of new people.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
PLEASE BECOME A “KEITH/MURPHY” SPONSOR
It will cost $600 to $900 to rehabilitate Keith/Murphy and bring his fear level down.
By becoming a SPONSOR you will be able to follow his progress thru training and can share in our happiness when he gets fostered or adopted (please provide us your email address in order to receive updates).
Keith/Murphy MUST learn how to trust people so that he can find his “forever home.” Without his Almost Home Foundation family….he has no one….
