Kitten Season

born homeless

need to be rescued

Hi, DK and her siblings were just a few days old when they were abandoned without their mother. To survive, they needed to be hand-raised by a human. This kitten family got lucky because a foster home at AHF was able to give them the special care that they needed.

Spring is here, and that means kitten season has begun! Kitten season, which lasts from early spring to the fall, is when pregnant cats give birth to their litters. The majority of the kittens have two things in common with DK: they are born homeless, and they need to be rescued. Unfortunately, the kittens always outnumber the rescue groups that can save them. It is during this time that AHF becomes overwhelmed with kittens.

The volunteers at AHF do as much as they can to help kittens like DK. However, this is only possible with community support. We are currently in need of donations to help with the influx of kittens. Wet kitten and cat food, and dry kitten and cat food, are especially appreciated.

Please help AHF cope with this year’s kitten season. Spay and neuter your pets, adopt or foster if you can, and donate what you can. DK and all of the other kittens!.

Can you help today?

THANK YOU for doing your part, it makes a world of difference for the kittens!
