WHAT'S MISSING?

        The camera cannot capture
all the love this cat has to give...

In her own special way -
         she's purrfect!

Muffin is a black and white short-haired beauty with bright, trusting eyes and a loving heart.  She is young and healthy, with plenty of energy and playfulness.  She loves to talk and is very affectionate.  She gets along well with other cats, is litter box trained, and has a very easygoing personality.  To meet her, you'd never know she ever had anything but a wonderful, easy life.

But that is not her whole story.  Muffin was found after wandering a neighborhood for weeks.  It was important to rescue her from the streets because she was outdoors with a serious handicap - she only has 3 legs to run on.  Apparently a birth defect left her with only a partial rear leg.  As if that wasn't enough for her to deal with, she had also been declawed.  We can only imagine what horrifying realities she must have faced on the street.  It would be completely understandable if she had some behavioral issues after all that.  Not so with this sweet darling!

Muffin is not only a survivor, she is a winner.  Despite her past, she has easily adapted to life in her foster home. She has been accepting of her new surroundings, fellow foster cats, and visitors.  This kitty does not let her handicap keep her from living a full cat's life.  And she is positively a delight to be around - she absolutely loves people!  She is truly an inspiration for us, with her trust in complete strangers after having been left outside to fend on her own.  Even though people have let her down, Muffin loves everyone with complete abandon.  We can all learn from this special girl!

The past may have been difficult for her, but now Muffin is safe.  She deserves the best that we can give her.  We know without question that whatever is done for her, she will return with love and gratitude tenfold.  If you'd like to give this sweet little Muffin a safe and loving home, you will undoubtedly be rewarded with the most affectionate, loving and grateful Forever Friend.

Muffin was rescued from the streets by a Jr. Almost Home Volunteer - Mikey Thomas!  Mikey is a great addition to AHF who dedicates many hours every week for the animals.    Muffin is now being fostered in his home!  So she's in great care until she finds her permanent home!
