Meet Callie

Callie is a beautiful, long-haired kitten. Her fur is white underneath; a mottled black on top, and she has brown markings on her foot, face and one side of her neck. She is very friendly and loves to play with her toys. Her nickname is "Callie Belly" because when she sees you, she rolls on her back for you to tickle her belly, then laughs. Because she has a short body and tail, when she runs, she looks like a little barrel. She uses the litter box and sharpens her claws on the Turbo scratcher or scratching posts.

Callie and her two brothers, Tommy and Dorian, were found by the police on the outskirts of a forest preserve. They were alone and no one knows what happened to their mother. The police contacted the Almost Home Foundation who immediately found them a foster home. They were starving! Despite all the trauma they had been through, they quickly settled in to their new surroundings and began to gain weight. Within a couple of weeks, they had the run of the house.

Callie must be adopted with one or both of her brothers, Tommy and/or Dorian or her step-brother, Squeeker. Their photos are also listed on the Almost Home website. If the adoptee already has a kitten, she can be adopted by herself. Kittens under six months old must be adopted in pairs because they are so playful. This eliminates them from becoming destructive.
