Dori is a very friendly kitten and purrs
immediately as soon as she is touched. She likes to curl up next to you while
you are sleeping. She loves to lie on her back for you to tickle her tummy. She
loves to play with her toys and walks around carrying a small, soft, ball in her
mouth.
Dori has very unusual gray markings. Her fur
is white underneath; her back is medium gray with a beautiful marbled pattern of
light gray. She is very soft and woolly to touch. She uses the litter box and
sharpens her claws on the Turbo scratcher or scratching posts.
Dori and her brother and sister, Tommy and
Callie, were found by the police on the outskirts of a forest preserve. They
were alone and no one knows what happened to their mother. The police contacted
the Almost Home Foundation who immediately found them a foster home. They were
starving! Despite the trauma they had been through, they quickly settled in to
their new surroundings and began to gain weight. Within a few days, they had the
run of the house.
Dori must be adopted with another kitten. Her
brother and sister have already been adopted. If the adopter already has a
kitten around her age, she can be adopted by herself. Kittens under six months
old must be adopted in pairs because they are so playful. This eliminates them
from becoming destructive. Dori gets along well with multiple cats so would
probably be best suited to an environment that had other animals for her to play
with rather, than being adopted by herself. She hasn't been exposed to dogs, but
would probably get along with them after she gets used to them.
