Columbus has a very unique and handsome tiger
coat, and he likes to wrap his thick tail around himself. This is an adorable
look that he wears often. He has big lips--this is because Columbus is allergic
to plastic. While the allergy is not severe, you should avoid using plastic food
bowls with him. And he's a bit of a picky eater, but you can't go wrong with the
shredded food!
Columbus is unsure of new people and surroundings at first, but with a few days
of patience, he comes out of his shell. He is very curious and observant, always
watching everyone and everything that's going on. He likes to sit in the kitty
house-box we made for him. It's his #1 favorite spot! After awhile, when you
make the "come here" hand gesture to him, he will come to you. Before
long, he will want to be with you all the time. Sometimes he will follow you
around quietly.
Columbus doesn't like being picked up but he loves being petted. He especially
loves being scratched under the chin--this is his magic spot! When he's happy
(which is often!), Columbus rolls out on the floor and just purrs away. He is so
sweet and gentle: when he is scared, he does not scratch, and when other cats
hiss at him, he
never hisses back or tries to fight. He's got a terrific
attitude.
Columbus would do well as an only cat or in a house full of cats. He tends to
like being by himself, and almost always plays by himself, but he gets along
with other cats very well. He has not been exposed to dogs or children. Columbus
is 1 year old, is litterbox trained, microchipped and neutered, and has all of
his vaccinations. This little guy will make a wonderful addition to some lucky
