Sid was found wandering around an apartment building in Carol Stream. He would come to visit our other cat every few nights. He had been hanging around for about 3 weeks before deciding to walk into the apartment.
Sid is a very sweet cat when given time to get used to things. He is rather shy and fearful at first. He would do best in a quiet home with ample time to adjust. Once he gets used to someone he likes to lay in their lap and purr. He really likes food and gets very persistent if he thinks food is involved.
He is very good with his litter box habits and keeps it clean. He has medium length hair and will most likely need to be brushed periodically. When he first came to us he had a huge mat on his tail that was shaved off by a groomer. She mentioned it was common in non-neutered male cats, so that problem should not resurface. When it all grows back he will have a very beautiful fluffy tail.
He does not get along with our other male cat, so he will need plenty of time to get used to a home with other cats. Might do better as an only cat or with females. His new home will need to take a lot of time to introduce him slowly to existing cats to avoid negative interactions.
