Hi! I'm Skeeter. You should feel
how soft my pretty multi-colored fur is. Of course, I need you to do it
gently, otherwise I get nervous. Once I know you better, I get so excited to get
your attention. I hear people say that I have quite a story to tell.
I know most of it, but I was a baby when the story happened so I'm just
glad it's way in the past for me now and I don't remember it.
My mother had three babies – I'm the only one left without a forever home now
– and she was the best mom I could have hoped for. But she wasn't
treated well, that's for sure. There was a very mean person who used her
as target practice with his bb gun. She ended up with an eye that couldn't
see. Then he chopped off her tail with a machete, and buried her alive.
My brothers and I were frantic to find Mama, we were trying desperately to get
to her. But we were very tiny kittens, our little paws didn't make a dent
in the dirt above her. There was a hero who saw us, though, and saved
Mama. Thank you, Hero!
Almost Home Foundation was our second hero. All of Mama's medical needs
were taken care of, and they kept us together so my brothers and I could be
normal kittens with a mother. I've had a hard time trusting people, but
I'm proud to say I've worked very hard on that and I'm doing very well. I
love my foster home, but now I'm looking for my forever home. Thank you,
Almost Home!
