Hi, I’m Wizard. I’m super handsome, but I’m a tough guy too. I had a hard life before I was rescued by Almost Home Foundation. Before AHF rescued me from a high-kill shelter, I was found outdoors—where people were throwing rocks at me! I still can’t believe I’m finally safe with a nice foster family. It’s taking me awhile to learn to trust people completely.
I let people pet me sometimes, and I follow people around like a shadow sometimes, too. I’m crazy about food—I’ll eat anything and everything, and I’m sure not shy about it. I still feel scared and “iffy” about things. Whenever I feel unsure about someone or something, I hiss and show my teeth. Sometimes I reach out and grab people’s feet when they walk past me. I’m still working on the trust thing, but beneath my tough exterior, there’s a great guy just looking for someone to love. I’m very curious about people and am always exploring my surroundings. I just need a lot of patience right now.
I was born in April 2008 and have a very fluffy black coat. I look like a king! I am healthy, litterbox trained, microchipped, neutered, and have all of my vaccinations. I’m okay with other cats, but would be fine as an only pet, too. I don’t think I should be with dogs or children, though.
Please don’t pass me up! I’m just a wonderful cat who is still feeling the effects of my not-so-wonderful past. AHF gave me a chance and I’ve already come a long way. Now I need to find a forever family that’s willing to give me the same chance. I’m trying very hard and just need to be with someone who understands.
