Dott is a beautiful black and white bundle of
love! She is about 8 months old and in her young life has been through so much!
Almost Home has rescued Dott twice in her young life! The first time she was
rescued as a young outdoor kitten. She needed to be worked with to be reassured
that people were not to be feared. Dott and her sister would hide in the darkest
of areas to get away from people so as not to be seen. How sad. It took a lot of
dedication to turn this girl around....and it was done!
Unfortunately Dott found herself outside somehow and she found trouble and got
injured. Her human companion knew she was hurt but didn't realize how badly it
was. After a few days of being injured Dott finally went to the vet. She was in
very bad shape. Due to the cost of the veterinary bills Dott was unfortunately
on her own again, her human needed to relinquish her.
Almost Home came right to Dott's rescue
again. Dott had a 5 inch laceration that was 1 inch deep that ran on her hind
end and down her thigh area. It was very badly infected. It was unsure if Dott
would even make it! Almost Home stood by her side and let the veterinary
hospital do what they needed in order to help Dott. After 2 1/2 weeks Dott was
again doing well and was able to be put into a foster home!
From this experience Dott loves life! She
is very affectionate, loves to purr and play with her human companions! She
enjoys every moment of every day and makes the best of it! She loves her toy
mice which she loves to bat around and play with. She also plays fetch with her
mouse. Dott loves to play with other easy going, friendly cats. She is also dog
friendly as long as the dog is cat friendly and easy going. She has been through
so much that if she is going to be placed with other animals they must be mild
mannered.
Dott is a very special girl...she is a heart melter! She is enjoying life in her
foster home and is patiently waiting to find her very own furever home where she
will be loved and cared for and never worry about being given up or harm coming
her way ever again!
