Boo is a Newfoundland/Pointer mix, named after the lovable character in the Disney movie Monsters, Inc. At 107 lbs he is quite a big boy.

For all three years of his life Boo had been chained to a dog house right here in the Chicago suburbs; rain or shine, below zero or over one hundred degrees, he was never allowed to come inside the house. Upon examining him, the vet determined that at one point Boo's testicles must have been stuck to ice. Poor Boo! Can you imagine the pain? Needless to say, he never got socialized with other pets or people; he was just one lonely dog, left outside.

Now that he is in an Almost Home foster home Boo can finally start leading a normal life. He is learning really well to be around other pets; he loves people and enjoys being in the house. One of his favorite things is water...he likes the lake or a pool, and if nothing else just getting sprayed with the hose will make him happy. Boo has so much love to give; he is eager to please and is making good progress with his housebreaking. He wants someone who can teach him new and exciting things, but most of all someone who will give him the love he missed in the last three years.

Boo has had a sad past, but from now on it will only get better. You can help make a difference in his life and give him what he deserved all along: a loving, caring home.
