You know what it is like to have found a new
home, only to have lost it again? This is the story of my
life. At the beginning of summer I came to Almost Home and
after a while I found a new home, along with another dog named
Goofy. What more could a young dog ask for than a family,
some kids and a doggy playmate? I was so happy; my life had
turned around and I was going to live happily ever after.
Well, guess what? Now that summer vacation comes to an end,
it seems my wonderful life has come to an end, too. The dad
in the family decided to return Goofy and me to Almost Home
Foundation because the kids aren't taking care of us dogs...
hello? I thought we were FAMILY dogs, everybody knows that
you can not just dump all the caretaking of dogs onto kids,
they need guidance and supervision, and yes, sometimes the
parents need to step in or even take over...taking in a dog
or even two is more than a fun entertainment for a while,
it is a commitment for as long as the dog lives.
Please, please, someone come, take me home once again and
show me that not all humans are like my last two families;
I don't want to be disappointed ever again. I am in this kennel
after having been part of a family and I am very sad.
