Lupe is a very sweet 7 month old 8 pound black and tan chihuahua that Almost Home rescued from a local backyard breeder. He had previously been living outside and like all good chihuahuas is always looking for the warmest spot in the house thats why his last name is "Frio" which is spanish for "cold". Lupe is quite excited to move inside the house with his new foster home. He is nervous about new people and other dogs at first but quickly warms up and will snuggle up with people and try to play with other dogs once he feels more comfortable. He has only been with us for a day but he is very happy and curious and playful about adjusting to his new life indoors. He has been good so far about going to the bathroom outside but does try to mark urine in the house currently. A little training and a belly-band diaper as well as his upcoming neuter surgery should take care of that problem. Lupe needs to go to a home with adults or older children only due to his small size and fear. If there were another dog in the house to play with that would be ok with him too, especially if it's a little female chihuahua! Since he is just a baby he is pretty adaptable to new situations. If you think Lupe might be the dog for you, please come see him at the adoption show or email the foster home. And seriously , no exceptions on the young children please.
