My
wonderful volunteer foster parent wrote this story about me.
My name is Bella D & D and I am a loving,
sweet, playful girl. I get along well with people (the pack
lady, pack leader and the little people) and even my foster
parents other dog (Lucy - an English mastiff mix). I don't
even mind the two adult cats but they really don't care for
me much. I sniff, they hiss and run up the stairs or on a
chair, but I keep trying - doesn't persistence pay off? I
just want to play and be friends. My former family had children
and cats so I'm quite comfortable with all of it when given
the chance. At times- I want to cuddle with a human friend,
toy or bone. but I also need some time to run around everyday.
My foster parents say I am housebroken (however, if I am left
too long as with any dog there may be an occasional accident
but while you're at work on a typical day, I'm a "good girl"
they say). I even like to ride in the car. Am I demanding
- well, maybe of a soft scratch and kiss or a gentle brushing,
playing fetch or snuggling next to you, but is that really
so demanding? Lucy and I have the run of her foster home throughout
the day and night (at bedtime I enjoy snuggling down on a
blanket or bed, would love to sleep with my foster parents
but they keep saying "down Bella down" and Lucy doesn't have
any extra room on her bed so I just take the floor with my
blanket. LOL Won't you open your heart and home to me? I'll
give you unconditional love and companionship - isn't that
what we all need? Come to the next adoption show and meet
me - unless someone snatches me up before then. J
