Bow wow my name is Raggedy Ann

My wonderful volunteer foster parent wrote this story about me.

Hi, my name is Raggedy Ann and I wasn't taken care of very well before I was rescued by Almost Home Foundation.  My hair was so badly matted, that they had to shave me all over.  I kind of look like a lioness, with hair on my head like a mane and hair on my legs/paws, but I am as gentle as a lamb.  I know my hair will grow back, but boy it was chilly sometimes in the kennel.  Now, I am in a nice warm foster home.  It's great because I have two little foster sisters that are sooo much smaller than I am but I like them just the same.  I think I miss one of my pups because I really like to lick and clean my little foster sisters.

I use the pet door at home, but I don't really like to.  I'd rather wait for the door to be opened for me to come in and go out of my home.  You see, I am already house trained.  But if you leave me out too long, I will bark once or twice to remind you that I am out there waiting to come in.  I love to follow my foster mom around the house.  If she is inside, I want to be inside.  If she is outside, I want to be outside.  I am an easy going girl that likes to hang out.

My foster mom has recently told me about how courageous, strong and brave I am.  You see, she has taken me to two specialists because they have been trying to figure out what's wrong with my legs.  It turns out that I have two dislocated back legs and they have been like that for a long long time.  All the docs have been so surprised that I walk so well, that I like to walk and that I am not in any pain.  Yep, my muscles have grown and are what keeps my legs in place and working.  So, my foster mom needs to make sure I keep my weight right where I am at, about 40 lbs.  This way I can keep mobile and walking which I really really like to do.  Oh, they found out that I have some arthritis in my front elbow too, but nothing that a little Glucosamine and supplements like that can't help.  So, now, I am just waiting for my forever home.  Do you have room in your home for me?  If so, you can contact my foster mom directly and she will tell you all about me.
