Tillie and her two puppies came from a facility in Southern
Illinois that burnt down just two days before the puppies
were born. They all came up North and moved into their foster
home. The puppies are old enough to be on their own and now
it's Tillie-Lillie's turn to find a forever family. Even though
we are not sure what breed she is, this 15 pound dog with
semi-long fur, pointed ears and a bobbed tail has all the
characteristics of a Terrier. She is housebroken, very good
and friendly with people and children and respectful of cats
(maybe because she knows they have claws?). She loves to play
with dogs, but can be bossy with some more submissive ones.
In dog world, it's not necessarily the size of the dog that
determines who is boss, it's the attitude, and Tillie sure
has a lot of it!
If you are an active person who loves to hike but can't accommodate
a big dog, this little girl is the one for you. She is not
a couch potato and would not do well if she was left alone
all day. Tillie loves to go on walks, the longer the better
and will play ball with you or just hang out in the yard which
should be fenced in, because she would probably run away in
her pursuit of a squirrel, bird or rabbit. You should see
her run; she can easily keep up with her much bigger foster
sisters!
Tillie-Lillie is smart, knows how to sit and is starting to
walk on her hind legs, looking as cute as can be. She would
be the perfect dog for agility training, too. Even though
she already had puppies, she is still half a puppy herself,
so watch out stuffed animals!
Come and meet this adorable little girl at the next adoption
