Fergie is a little 7 year old
about 6 pounds (chubby) pure Yorkie who was rescued from a puppy
mill. She is recently spayed and had her teeth cleaned by the
vet. They found an old fracture of her jaw which didnt heal
quite straight and does not require treatment. I cant bear to
even think about how that happened. Fergie is very sweet and
non-aggressive but very frightened. Once you get her picked
up she likes to snuggle and enjoy the warm blankets and affection
from people that she has never known before. She is crate trained
and will keep her crate clean. As long as her crate is near
another dog or person she is fine but will howl if left completely
alone. She will require a great deal of patient work to get
her house or pad trained as going outside is still a frightening
experience for her. So far after 3 days she is starting to trust
her foster mom but has no idea that the pad or the outdoors
is the right place to pee. I am hoping the fenced yard and other
dogs in the house can speed the process along. If you have a
lot of love, patience, and a few extra paper towels to share,
stop on out to the South Elgin show and meet Fergie.
