Geneva is thought to be about 8 months old and was found as a stray in the Elgin area.
She is much smaller than she appears in the photos, weighing only about 8-9 lbs. She
loves everyone and gives kisses freely. This is an absolutely delightful little girl who
loves to play with toys, and chase tennis balls. Without toys she will look for something
to entertain herself with, like shoes, doorstops, or even a rock in the yard. A gentle
correction and redirection usually solves this problem. She also enjoys playing with
other dogs. Geneva is a bit of an escape artist who can squeeze through small openings
so a secure fence would be recommended. Otherwise, she must be kept on leash and taken for
long walks because she has a lot of terrier energy. She is not yet housetrained since
she still thinks being in the yard is only for play, but her foster family is working
with her on this. She is also being crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night
unless she needs to go out to potty. She loves to curl up on the couch with her pack in
the evenings.
