If you are looking for a typical Lab, then this stray from a Southern Illinois kill shelter is the dog for you. Gracie Jo loves everyone and is a big cuddler who can not get enough attention from people. After an initial rough time sharing a home with other pets, she has learned to get along with dogs and cats. She is housebroken and crate trained, knows sit and is working on other commands. Gracie Jo needs some leash training but her eyes light up when you take her on walks and with her tongue hanging out she even seems to smile. 

Like a lot of Labs she has turned out to be a die-hard water lover; full of enthusiasm she'll jump into the creek or the pond looking absolutely adorable when using her doggy paddle.  She will fetch a ball but is not obsessed with it and prefers to chase the other dogs that are running after the ball.

Gracie Jo would be the perfect addition to the family that is active and likes to spend time outside. She would love to be able to swim with you.

Unfortunately Gracie Jo can climb fences, so a yard with a 6 ft fence would be best for her. Meet this sweet girl at the next adoption show, you'll fall in love.
