Malina was a stray in the Northwest suburbs and has been
fostered for three months. She is currently living with three
other male Jack Russell Terriers. She originally had no interest
in anyone or anything. Since staying here the boys have helped
her remember that she is a dog. Since we do not know her background
I can only assume that she was crated, and given little training
or socialization toward anyone or anything. She does enjoy
being petted, but she is not a cuddly lap dog. She is working
on a few habits like barking at airplanes, the sprinkler and
vacuum cleaner.
She is OK with other dogs, but can also play a little rough
like JRTs can sometimes do. Malina would be best in
a home with someone that knows the breed. She has not shown
any aggression here and appears to be submissive toward other
dogs. She has a strong prey drive and would not be good with
cats or other small animals. Malina loves to be outside and
likes to chase rabbits and squirrels. She would LOVE to live
on a large acreage property.
