Okay, so when my foster mom got me from the kill shelter she thought people would just
die to make me part of their family, but that hasn't happened...I don't know why, I am
absolutely gorgeous with my white, soft fur, dark eyes and nose just like a polar bear,
my namesake.
But I think I know the reason why people pass me up; they want cute little baby puppies
and I am already pretty big and still growing. Guess what? Young puppies are sooo needy;
they sleep a lot and you can't do much with them, unlike with me. I am full of love and
energy, an exuberant face licker and a boy who likes action- whatever you do, I want to
be part of it. When we are done I want you to pet me, pet me, pet me- what do you mean I
am not a lap dog?!? The cats here are okay, but I prefer playing with my doggy foster
brothers. We can go all day and then collapse into a big heap on the dog bed to go to
sleep. My foster mom thinks a home with another young dog that loves to play would be
best for me; otherwise I would get bored fast and get into a bunch of trouble. I think
she is right...
So how about it? Come meet me at the next adoption show, I'll be there, ready to meet
you.
AHF puppy hints The best
home for such a young puppy will be one where someone is home
all day to ensure the puppy is socialized and housebroken.
Leaving young puppies alone for long periods during the day
can cause severe social and dysfunctional problems. The puppies
need to be adopted locally because the shelter will do a home
check prior to the adoption and the puppies' vet care will
be handled out of Schaumburg, IL.
