Bow wow my name is Berrick

Hi, my name is Berrick. I was found as a local stray and got to join the Almost Home family, first going into the kennel and doggy day care and then finally into a foster home.
Some people might be put off by my breed mix, but not my foster family. To them, I am just a dog like so many others, one that needed a place to stay until a forever home could be found. They are not prejudiced against any breeds and by clicking on my name, I assume, you are not, either.

So, here I go, telling you all the wonderful things about me:
- I am a great size, fully grown, but only about 20 inches shoulder height, and now that I am in foster care I am changing from the scrawny stray into the well built guy I am supposed to be.
- I am housebroken and Mom says that I "pee like a girl"- no marking for me!
- I don't mind going into a crate, it's a nice safe cave for me.
- I am very affectionate and love people of all ages, but might accidentally push over small kids.  I am also a great kisser, no need to wash, I'll do that for you.
- I am very dog friendly; there are a few others here and we all get along. We enjoy snuggling on our big dog bed, but we also like to wrestle, play tug-of-war and chase each other. (I also did well at doggy day care.)
- Cats: I am interested in them (in a friendly way, whimpering and wagging my tail), but the foster cats just don't seem to like dogs and make this hissing sound.
- So far I know sit and give both paws, but I am so smart, I can learn new tricks fast.
- Walks are the highlight of my day. Even though we have a big yard, we all love to go on walks. I walk nicely on the leash and I can go for a long time. I might also be a good candidate for roller blading and biking adventures.
- I like balls: my two favorites are tennis balls (they just don't last long since I like to chew on them) and I also play with a big soccer ball that I carry around. Maybe I can be your goalie?
- I have no food aggression; I don't mind you reaching into my bowl while I eat.

As you can see, I am a wonderful dog. I have a great disposition and I am also very handsome, just look at my cute face. Come and meet me at the next adoption show to see for yourself.
