I got adopted as a puppy and my Almost Home name was Booper. My mom was a black Lab and my 8 siblings and I looked like our dad was a Boxer. I even have the underbite like a Boxer but I only weigh 40 pounds or so. Now, after six months, my family decided to give me back to AHF. I am not really sure why.. Puppies don't stay small forever, they grow up and as they do so, they have more energy and need training. My old family said they were too busy for me and so I spent a lot of time in a crate which was not good for me. I guess it's a good thing they realized that I deserve a better home than they could give me.
I am now in a foster home with other dogs and I am loving it.
Typical for a young Lab/Boxer mix I have a lot of energy and here I always have someone to play with. We wrestle and chase each other in the yard.. I also go on regular walks now and I am loving that, too. I walk right next to my foster mom, along with all the other dogs and things are going pretty well.
There are cats here and I am just curious about them; I don't chase them and only wish they would let me come closer. But they do this hissing sound and I think I better stay away from them.
I know how to sit and give paw and since I am still a teenage puppy I can learn so much more; you just have to take the time to teach me. Did I mention how much I love people and that I like to give kisses?
My foster mom thinks I would do best in a home with another playful dog, where I don't have to spend all day locked up in a crate. Oh yeah, I am up to date on shots and already neutered.
How about it? Are you ready to meet the most adorable young canine that looks like he is wearing a tuxedo? Come to the next adoption show and meet me, Booper. Wait, that's not the name I am listening to, just my Almost Home name, but my foster mom will tell you my real name when you adopt me.
See you Saturday?
