The Bio:

Brendan is 6 lbs. of joy and love! He appears to be a pure bred Maltese.

Before Almost Home rescued Brendan, he had spent several weeks on a cold cement floor in a high kill shelter in southern Illinois.  That experience has left him with some seperation anxiety so I would recommend that he be adopted to a home where someone is around most of the time.  He does cry when left alone.  That will cease over time once he feels secure again.
 
Brendan was not housebroken when I took him to foster but he has made great progress and I would say he is just about there. He has even started to let us know when he needs to go out.  At first he was terrified of being outside and now he runs and plays happily in the yard.

He is great with other dogs and would like a home with another small dog or even a cat.  I think he would be fine with kids too. We have him sleeping nicely in his crate at night. The most important thing for Brendan is that he goes to a home where he will receive a lot of love and attention.  You will get a lot back from him too, that's for sure.
