Hi, my name is Clarence. Believe it or not, I, a purebred Pekingese, ended up in a kill shelter down South. Thank goodness Almost Home Foundation rescued me before I met the man with the deadly syringe.
I am now in a foster home that I share with other dogs my size. All I need now is a forever home. Whoever takes me, will get an awesome dog.
I am:
- basically housebroken, but may mark if a new dog comes into my house
- crate trained
- social with other dogs, but would be fine as an only dog, too
- super friendly with people. My tail wags like crazy if you give me attention and I love hugs and kisses.
- playful outside, but mellow inside
- a great walking buddy- I love the outdoors (in any weather, too)
- small, so I won't take up a lot of space in your house and I don't eat that much either (it's not like you're adopting a Great Dane)
- Last but not least, with my blond fur I am absolutely gorgeous!
So, how about it, wouldn't you like to meet me and take me home? Come on; you'll have a lifelong friend in me and I won't ever let you down.
Here is a note from my foster mom:
Clarence has one only one good eye, the other is not fully developed. But shhhhhhh, he doesn't know he is different from other dogs. It doesn't bother him at all and he most likely was born like that. The vet suggested to just leave him the way he is. Clarence also tested positive for heartworm, which is NOT a death sentence as many people think, especially if found early enough. The whole treatment will be at Almost Home Foundation's expense. This special dog needs a special person who can love him despite the minor obstacles that don't affect his sunny behavior whatsoever. Are you the special one?
