Bow wow my name is Sunset

Have you ever heard of a Corgo? You know, one of those designer breeds that they can get big money for? Ok, well some volunteers made up the name – it sounded good since I am a Corgi / Golden Retriever mix. Everyone says that I have the sweetest face ever! I came from Boone county where I was picked up as a stray. I got out and the breeder I was housed with did not want to pay the fine to get me back. They used me for breeding and then just threw me away since one of my offspring can now give them the puppies they want. On the positive side, I know that my life will be much better now!

I am adjusting well to my foster families’ house. I was very afraid in the beginning and did not understand what was going on. They did not think I was ever on a leash before either. Now I hang out with my foster sisters, but to tell you the truth I would be good as an only dog too. I got a little growly with them in the beginning but nothing major. I am a good girl now. I don’t play yet, but I do like to go for walks with my easy walk harness. I have some fears about using a choker collar or having someone grab my neck. I LOVE a big soft dog bed and I don’t need a cage at night. I sleep with everyone in the bedroom and we’re one big happy family. I am very food motivated and could become a beggar if you let me. I eat really well and would make someone a great companion. Please just understand that you need to work with me some to get over some of my fears. I am not high energy but will give you lots of love if you let me…if you are really special I will give you kisses too. I know ‘sit’ AND I am potty trained…say the “P” word and I will go outside with no problem. Positive training classes would be good so that we can bond more. This will help me know that I found my forever family.

Won’t you come and meet me at the next adoption show or you can contact my foster Mom and arrange a visit. She says that you will melt when you see my sweet face and big brown eyes in person. I can’t wait to meet you!
