Charleigh
A SOUTHERN GIRL LOOKING FOR A HOME
This southern girl came all the way from Kentucky. Charleigh did not experience southern hospitality as she was sitting in a kill shelter before Almost Home Foundation said we would take her.
Charleigh has a beautiful thick black coat and weighs about 70 pounds. She knows some of the basic commands and is good on a leash. She loves to play in the yard, so a fenced in yard would be a plus for this girl. Charleigh enjoys all kinds of toys and is a playful girl. She tends to play a little too enthusiastically with cats but she has never hurt them. She just does not realize how big she is compared to the little cats.
Charleigh was in a home with dogs and cats before. She was fine with other dogs but needed a slow introduction to them. She does tend to get mouthy when she plays, so little kids are not a good fit for her, but older kids would be fine. Charleigh enjoys chewing on bones too. She is a good eater but does need grain free food. Otherwise, she may get loose stool.
So, if you are looking for a southern girl who has a passion for life and play, Charleigh just might be your girl. If you are interested in learning more about her or meeting her, use the following contact information to send your request or visit her at the next adoption show: dogs@almosthomefoundation.org or call 847-891-1599.
