Cat Adoption

There are a number of “adoption options” for adopting a cat through AHF. Cats can be adopted through the Petsmart Luv-a-Pet Center, at the weekly adoption shows, or by appointment.

Adoption Shows: Every Saturday, there is a cat adoption show at the Bloomingdale Petsmart (162 S Gary Avenue) from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM.

Luv-a-Pet Center: Every day,there are several AHF cats are up at the Luv-a-Pet Center at the Bloomingdale Petsmart (162 S Gary Avenue) for most of the day. Cat adoptions can be done through the Luv-a-Pet Center by appointment.

By appointment: If you are interested in a specific cat, you can contact the foster family and make an appointment to meet the cat. Arrangements will differ depending on the foster home. Some foster homes can schedule meetings with adopters during the week, and those adoptions can be done through the Luv-a-Pet Center or through the actual foster home. The majority of the time, an appointment is scheduled for during the Saturday adoption show.
