Members of the newly-formed Elk Grove Leo Club held their first charity drive. This successful drive brought in 1,150 pet food and other pet-related items to the Elk Grove Village food pantry! The pantry could not store all the items so donated pet food was also given to the Almost Home Foundation.

Chapter President Mia and her sister chapter Vice President Marki volunteer at AHF. Due to the poor economy, the sisters saw many animals dropped off at the rescue because their owners could not afford to pay for pet food and other supplies.

The Leo Club is a junior group that accepts members in junior high and high school. This organization was established in November, 2009 is associated with the Elk Grove Lions Club that was established 50 years ago.

Congratulations to Mia, Marki and all the Leo Club members for their successful food drive to help people and animals in need. Almost Home Foundation is very thankful for the donations and is proud to have junior volunteers help our animals on their journey for a forever home.
