Spring Trail Elementary School raised $ 394.07 for Almost Home Foundation dogs and cats with Pennies for Pets Program.  Students collected funds throughout the month of September and Mrs. Borczak's 1st Graders carried the coins over to the bank.  The check was presented to Almost Home Foundation during a recent visit to the school.  
 
We thank all the students and families that participated in the Pennies for Pets Program.  A special thank you to the teachers at the school that have organized the PAWS to Help Pets Program.   The students are collecting treats for the pets during the month of October.  

 

Two of Almost Home's volunteers, Kathi and Dawn, were on site to discuss responsible pet ownership, pets are forever, and that animals bring unconditional love.     

 

Also attending was Freddy, Almost Home's Public Information Officer.  Freddy demonstrated that Black Cats are wonderful animals and disspelled any myths regarding Black Cats as he received many pets from the children.

 

Freddy also wished the children a Happy Halloween!  He is looking forward to the treats the children are collecting in October!
