Here's the sad stories of three animals that suffered at the hands of humans.  We received these three animals in the same week.

Seven
Can you see the sadness in his eyes?  Seven was found wondering near a 7-11.  His tail had been wrapped with a rubber band so tightly that it was cutting off it's circulation.  This poor boy was in pain

Seven is also the breed of dog that suffers from the public.  He is an American Staffshire Terrier - which is commonly used for Pit Fighting.  Often called "Pit Bulls".

The rubber band was likely put on this dog to cause pain in order to make him mean.  If a dog is in pain, he is more likely to become a fighter.

Seven now is with Almost Home.  He is a very sweet boy and deserves to be where he will be loved.

Liberty
A very sad story about a little cat named Liberty who did nothing wrong.  She had her tail cut off by a terrible person.  Liberty had to be rushed to the animal hospital.

Surgery was performed to remove part of her tail.  Liberty is recovering well with the help of her caregiver Lisa, although she is still very frightened trying to figure out what she did wrong.

We  understand that everyone does not like animals, but please never be cruel them.  And PLEASE teach your children not to be cruel!  Unfortunately, this barbaric act was witnessed by a child who thought this behavior was matter of fact.

Almost Home Foundation is very happy to say that Liberty has found a wonderful loving home.  It's great to say that she has been at liberty and loved in her new home.  Please see her success story by clicking here

Portia
Portia is an active little girl under one year who loves people and other animals.  It's hard to fathom why she came in with 3 buck shot-like scars on her.

One wound is on her hip.  One on her side.  And one right next to her eye.

Despite humans being cruel, she still loves everyone.

Portia will be going through x-rays and perhaps surgery to determine if any bullets need removed and to ensure she will be ok going forward.

Almost Home Foundation is dedicated to not only treating these animal's wounds but to also rehabilitate them so that they can trust humans again.  We urge EVERYONE to condemn animal abuse to any animals!

Please report animal abuse!
